TAKING CARE OF YOUR LEATHER ITEM
Share
If your bag get wet, don’t panic. Let it dry naturally. Avoid the sun, it will make the leather colour fade away. Airing it in a shaded place, not direct sunlight. If you get a stain on your bag, you need to consult a leather care specialist to take care of it. They will know exactly what needs to be done for that type of leather. Use a damp clean cloth to wipe, should a stratch occur or to remove dust.
You can buy leather balm which you can apply every now and then, to keep your bag nourished. Over time your bag will develop a patina ( a soft sheen that develops on the surface through use and exposure). The patina on the leather material provides character and personality to your bag with time. It tells the story of where you and your bag have been over the years. Air out your bag every now and then to avoid molding. Store it in a dustbag or covered with a cotton cloth to avoid dust.
